Nestled close together
Enjoying the beautiful weather
Feather ruffling in the breeze.
Totally relaxed, completely at ease.
Their graceful forms silhouetted

Several shades of brown pigmented
No chirping, just the wind for sound
A witness to nature’s spectacular art
All too soon the swallows depart
A burst of joy, they did spark
Forever to treasure in my heart
